Compassion and Lee Abbey would love to invite you to a unique opportunity to reflect and immerse yourself in the presence of Christ.
On Thursday 24th March 2023, 7.15pm at St. Peter's, Ilfracombe, Compassion presents an evening of music written by Rachel Chaplin, performed by outstanding vocalist Evi Dobner, with Rachel Chaplin on piano. Inspired by the poetry of the Psalms and Biblical narratives, the music draws the listener deeply into the scriptures, creating a sound world of striking beauty, which is both spacious and intimate. Rachel and Evi's creative process inspires listeners to reflect imaginatively on scripture, to engage afresh with meaning, and ultimately to encounter Christ in worship.
After the performance, over cheese and wine, Compassion will be interviewing one of their graduates; there will also be opportunities to ask questions and you can hear first-hand the impact Compassion has had on their life.
